Welcome.

I am a registered social worker in clinical practice offering psychotherapy to clients who are struggling with a variety of mental health challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic inspired my switch from hospital-based work to private practice – I am proud to offer virtual services that reduce certain barriers for clients who would otherwise struggle to get the help they deserve.

    More About Me.

Therapy can be emotionally challenging and also transformative. Through care and humour, I aim to support and engage clients in problem solving and skill building that can be applied immediately into 'real life' outside of our sessions.

For over ten years my career was focused in paediatric mental health before expanding my scope to work with adults. My experience in hospital and community settings includes crisis intervention, outreach and case management, group facilitation, trauma therapy and individual psychotherapy, in various positions in Toronto and Ottawa (Youthdale Treatment Centres, Central Toronto Youth Services, the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), and The Ottawa Hospital).

My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, evidence-based, and grounded in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy. I am trained to provide Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) for the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and am a Certified Perinatal Mental Health practitioner (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International. All services draw on client strengths and are tailored to a client’s specific needs and goals.

I hold a Masters of Social Work from Carleton University and am a member in good standing of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). I am committed to attending regular professional development to keep current in best practices.
