Parenting Support

The amount of information out there for all things parenting can be very overwhelming, and often conflicting, which might lead to confusion and ultimately lowered confidence. As parents we often spend a lot of time comparing ourselves to others even when we know this isn't helpful or productive.

Some individuals wish to parent differently from how they were raised and feel that having children has unlocked feelings of grief that they did not expect to experience at a time in life they are told 'should' be joyful. Many of my clients worry about being judged and want to learn how to care less about what others think, build confidence in their choices, and get more enjoyment out of parenting.

 I approach parenting support from a place of curiosity and respect for existing client values and goals. This work is solution-focused and incorporates an understanding of the child's developmental age and stage so parents can adjust their expectations and skills in a meaningful and effective way.

Individuals who come to me for parenting support have children from toddlers to teenagers and are navigating common stuck points, such as;

  • Establishing family routines

  • Managing difficult behaviour

  • Limit setting

  • Exploring attachment concerns

  • Helping their kids move through life transitions

As a parent, I understand how some professional advice does not fit well into the lives of real families. I am dedicated to exploring strategies and skills that can realistically be applied to your unique circumstances.
